...uhpdate!

Yo. Did some sketches in my new sketchbook. Walking Dead studies, and some rocking pics of Omar Rodriguez-Lopez from The Mars Volta, one of my favorite guitarists/bands ever. Scanned a couple things I forgot to post from my old sketchbook, and uploaded another Flash short that I did for fun.

Uh...

Yo. I've just been taking it easy this break. I did some random paintings and I bought some new materials to mess around with. I used one of those Faber Castell Brush Pens for that couple with the orange background. I took some pictures at the park and decided I would try to paint some trees. I don't do landscapes much...it's all weird and sloppy. I also got started painting one of the life drawings from my sketchbook onto canvas. And then just for fun, (even though I did these weeks ago) here are some Flash lip-sync experiments.

KILL BILL STUDY EXHIBIT B

A study of CHAPTER 3: THE ORIGIN OF O-REN after Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill.

KILL BILL STUDY EXHIBIT A

I did this over the break and I wasn't sure how I should try to export it from Flash to get it online but I figured it out. I was talking to Jon Kaplan about animating one of my stories and he brought up a certain scene from Quentin Tarantino's first Kill Bill. Just popped in the movie and was sketching while it was playing then I started to pause and draw a couple of shots but I didn't want to sit on the same frame for too long so I tried to keep it pretty fast...I was doing a lot of experimenting with layers and quick ways to color. I have another more polished study I will post later.

The Yellow Dart

Yo! I was going through some old stuff and I saw my frames from my Intro to 2d Final and I decided to ink and color them. I re-scanned them and created a Quicktime with Imageready. I need to create some new 2d animations. Hopefully this is a step in that direction. I added two frames to the beginning and five to the end of it since the assignment had a limit of 30 but it felt unfinished.
